ASUW SHELL HOUSE
The Center for Building Reuse has been actively engaged in various adaptive reuse initiatives for the historically significant ASUW Shell House. Faculty lead Kathryn Rogers Merlino has guided two UW architecture studios in reimagining the Shell House as an enhanced facility for both the campus and the wider public.
Currently, Professor Merlino is developing a sustainable water reuse system for the Shell House, supported by a Campus Sustainability Fund grant. To discover more about these efforts visit the Research tab and delve deeper into the evolving story of the ASUW Shell House.
